The world's glaciers are melting due to climate change
Asia is particularly susceptible to the adverse effects of climate change. Many low-lying areas in the region such as the Maldives and Bangladesh are already facing the impacts of sea level rises. Higher altitude countries such as Nepal, where glaciers are melting, are also bearing the brunt of global warming.
